I’ve been reading a lot about early Christianity, and I am amazed by how quickly a group of dedicated, humble servants of God swept across the Roman Empire and virtually swallowed up paganism in three hundred years. From a human perspective, all they were doing was loving people radically.

And as I read, I become amazed by how quickly that story of Christianity becomes swallowed up by the noise of the bureaucratic, prideful, greedy in-fighting, and no longer is anyone remembering Christians for their love or humility.
